Happy Halloween everyone!

Pecan cookies rolled in icing sugar, decorated as "eyeballs" with food colour icing :)

Recipe

Ingreedients:
1/3 cup of magarine
1/2 cup of icing/confectioner's sugar
1 3/4 cups of flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped pecan nuts (or other nuts)
1/2 teaspoon vanile aroma

Directions:
Beat the magarine until it is smooth and workable.
Add the icing sugar and beat again.
Gradually add flour, salt and vanile until you get a crumbly dough (the dough is right, when it is crumbly, but still sticks together a bit).
Add the pecan nuts and beat one last time.
Now make little balls with your hands (1-2 teaspoon of dough), place them on baking paper and slightly flatten them by pressing their top.
Put them in a baking oven, and bake them on 200C for around 10-12 minutes (Be careful, they don't need to turn brown. So don't let them in too long).
Now roll the cookies in a bowl with icing sugar and let them cool down.

Halloween Extra:

Use food colors to give them the look of eyeballs:
Mix blue, green, yellow and red to get a dark brown color, which you can use for the pupils.
Now use blue or green to make a cricle around the pupil (the iris).
Finally use red to make visible veins stretching from the center outwards.

Voila! You now have scary looking eyeballs, that turn out highly delicious when put into a mouth. However it takes quite some courage to put those little things into your mouth!
Do you dare?

P.S. we got the recipe from the gluttonous vegan.
